In this issue I\u2019d like to address the issue of \u2018amanzi amnyama\u2019, meaning curses sent to us. A number of clients I\u2019ve dealt with, are being affected by curses sent to them. In most instances \u2018amanzi amanyama\u2019 are sent by close people, especially family members as they have very sensitive information or items belonging to the entire family. Making it easy for them to turn family members lives around using these critical items or information. This is due to hunger and greed for power. These people \u2018abaphehla amanzi amnyama\u2019, or send curses or use family information and items critical to the family. Do this to gain power. They go to \u2018emsamu\u2019 an area in the home where the whole family gathers to perform rituals that will help open luck and fortunes for every member of that family. This individual will then go to \u2018emsamu\u2019 to collect these items, take them to their witch doctor requesting them to use these items to keep all the luck to themselves as well as all the blessings from the Ancestors to themselves.This is also know as \u2018ukuthwala ngedlozi\u2019, using Ancestors to gain powers for their own selfish gains. Leaving the rest of the family in extreme poverty and unable to move forward with their lives as they are engulfed in the plague of misfortunes.<\/p>
