It means there are visions and dreams that carry messages about their spiritual journey, as if they are being told what to do — but it seems they are not listening or paying attention
Q: Thokozani, please clarify my dream. I dreamt I was at work. But I’m currently suspended. At work a colleague offered me food?
A: Here it is clear that their luck / job is being delayed because the elders/ancestors may want to give them something first before restoring their “bread” (their job). Once the elders are enlightened or acknowledged, they will return the job to the person.
Q: I had a dream having sex with my uncle. This was the second time?
A: Sleeping with your uncle in a dream means there is a strong lineage connection that needs attention. It shows that something within the family line needs to be healed, united, or merged through an exchange of energy. It can also mean that the person needs to be recognized or registered spiritually (imbeleko) , and in return, there is a transfer of ancestral energy or power that must be acknowledged or appeased.
Q: This dream haunts me. I recently dreamt that we had a traditional ceremony at home. I was approached by a Sangoma while attending to guests. He asked where my parents were. I told him they had both passed on. The Sangoma said that my ceremony was well received by my Ancestors and that all I needed to do now, was amagobongo?
A: There is spiritual ceremony that is required at the sacred space/altar, where your Ancestors. Your dream also shows that you is to undergo a spiritual journey. ‘Amagobongo’, or ‘izinkambi’ are traditional herbs that you need to be guided by a Sangoma to take in cleansing your Ancestors. By undergoing this ceremony or ritual, it will assist in forming a better connection between you and your Ancestors.
